How do I obtain a SID (Single Identification Number)?

The SID is used by the Department of Revenue as an overarching identifier for a business.
If you have previously registered with the Secretary of State as a corporation or as an LLC (taxed as a corporation) and have filed your corporate taxes at least once, you automatically have a SID. If you still can’t locate your SID, send an email to scboshelp@scbos.com identifying the name of the corporation and the Federal EIN number.

If you have previously registered with the Secretary of State as a LLC (Single Member) or LLC (Multiple Member), then you need to complete form SCTC-111.

All licenses/permits/registrations from the Department of Revenue have the SID number identified.
