You are now able to change information on file with the SC Office of Secretary of State online through South Carolina Business One Stop.
The following filings can be submitted online:
• Articles of Amendment – Domestic & Foreign Corporations
• Articles of Amendment – Domestic Non-Profit Corporations
• Amended Articles of Organization – Domestic LLC
• Articles of Dissolution – Domestic Corporations
• Renewal Application – Domestic LLP
• Resignation of Registered Agent and Discontinuance of Registered Office - Domestic & Foreign Corporations
• Notice of Change of Registered Office or Registered Agent - Domestic & Foreign Corporations
• Notice of Change of Designated Office, Agent for Service of Process, or Address of Agent - Domestic & Foreign LLC’s
• Notice of Change of Registered Office or Registered Agent or Both - Domestic & Foreign Non-Profit Corporations
New Users - Users that have not established a business on SCBOS
- Create an account and password by clicking on the New User button to the left. If you have a DOR (Department of Revenue) login, you can use it to login to SCBOS.
- After the welcome screen, select Add Existing Business and follow the wizard to add your business to SCBOS. SCBOS will verify your business with SCBOS agencies and return all Licences/Permits/Registrations for your business. When this action is completed, follow the instructions below.
- NOTE: This is a one business day process.
Registered Users - Users that have establlished a business on SCBOS
- Login using your name and password by clicking on the Registered Users button to the left
- Select a business that you wish to make changes to
- Select the General Business Location
- Select "Apply for License/Permits/Registrations"
- Select the Secretary of State filing (listed above) that corresponds to the change you wish to make for your business.
- Confirm the information; submit to the shopping cart; checkout and pay. Visa®, Mastercard®, and Electronic Funds Withdrawal may be used to pay. There are no additional fees to pay online.
- Be sure to print the receipt.
